ANNUAL MS WALK APRIL 27

On Saturday, April 27, the New York City – Southern New York Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society will kick off Walk MS Rockland County at Rockland Lake State Park. Participants will enjoy beautiful views as they travel the fully accessible three-mile route along Rockland Lake. “For 25 years, Walk MS nationally has been the simultaneous rallying point of the movement aimed at bringing awareness and raising funds for research to create a world free of Multiple sclerosis,” says Robin Einbinder, president of the NYC – Southern NY Chapter. “We want all of Rockland County to help us again by coming out to walk and fundraise to support programs, education and research so that one day soon we will be gathering to celebrate the cure.”

Rockland County is one of seven sites where more than 11,000 walkers are expected to participate the weekend of April 27-28, to raise $2.7 million in support of professional education, comprehensive programs and services for more than 10,000 people living with MS in the five boroughs in NYC and in Rockland, Orange, Putnam, Westchester, and Sullivan counties.

Walk MS begins at 9:30 a.m. on April 27 at Rockland Lake State Park, 299 Rockland Lake Road, Valley Cottage, NY 10989. For a complete listing of all seven Walk MS sites visit www.walkMSnyc.org. To register try www.walkMSnyc.org, call 212-463-9791 or email [email protected]
