The 10th Annual 3-Mile Run/Walk was a day of community involvement for a wonderful cause. The community will be donating the proceeds from the 3 Mile Run/Walk to:
Luke Colluzzi: Luke fell ill 2 months before his first birthday. He was diagnosed with a rare and serious immune disease known as CGD. He will eventually require a bone marrow transplant. The proceeds will assist the family with unforeseen medical expenses as they continue to provide Luke with the medical care he needs.
Carmello Farrior: Carmello is a 1st grader at West Haverstraw Elementary School. He is in need of a kidney transplant and his mother has accrued numerous medical expenses.
Michell Ramos-Baez: Michell is a 12-year-old girl who, according to her medical records, there is no definite diagnosis as of yet, but some of the medical impressions consist of Dysarthria which is a disturbance of speech and Spastic Diplegia which is a form of cerebral palsy. This family is not willing to give up on this child and they are struggling to make ends meet.
The run/walk took place Sunday, June 2 at Bowline Point Park in the Town of Haverstraw. All came out for a great cause.
