9/11 Haverstraw Memorial Ceremony
There will be a 9-11 Ceremony at the Haverstraw Town Hall on Wednesday, September 10 at 7 p.m. The Rockland County Marine Corps League will be hosting the commemoration with a color guard, firing detail and bugler.

Ramapo 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony
The Town of Ramapo’s 13th Annual 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony will take place on Thursday, September 11, 2014, 8:00 PM, at the 9/11 Memorial Plaza which is located at the front entrance of Town Hall. The theme of the Town’s 9/11 Memorial, which includes an American Eagle overlooking a beam from the South Tower of The World Trade Center, is the Triumph of Freedom Over Tyranny.

The Town of Ramapo’s 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony will be broadcast live by Cablevision (channels 75, 77 or 78), Verizon Fios (channel 32) and video-streamed at www.ramapo.org on-line starting at 8 p.m. In case of inclement weather, the 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony will take place at Ramapo Town Hall in the Town Council Room, 237 Route 59, Suffern, N.Y. at 8 p.m.

September 11 Ceremony
Candlelight Vigil at Donna Hallet Park on Lonergan Drive. 7 p.m. All are invited.

Village of Sloatsburg
The Village of Sloatsburg will hold a memorial service on Thursday, September 11. This ceremony will be held at the community fields commencing at 7 p.m. The program will culminate with a candlelight procession around the complex. The village invites all residents to take part in a moment of silence at 8:46 AM at the exact time the first of the Twin Towers was struck.

Rockland County
County Executive Ed Day will observe the 13th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks during Rockland’s annual memorial service at Haverstraw Bay County Park. The ceremonies begin at 8:30 a.m. Prayer and song will pause for a moment of silence at 8:46 a.m. At 9:03 a.m., the names of the 81 Rockland County victims of the 2001 and 1993 World Trade Center attacks will be read.

Town of Clarkstown 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony
Ceremony to take place 5 p.m., Thursday, September 11 at the 9/11 Memorial adjacent to Town Hall, 10 Maple Avenue, New City. At the event, town officials will honor the memory of those who perished on September 11, 2001 and the strength and courage of their families and friends from Rockland who continue to mourn their loss. The names of the Rockland County individuals who perished will be read by Supervisor Alex Gromack, Town Council Members, and the Clarkstown Police Chief.

Town of Stony Point Candlelight Memorial
On Thursday, September 11th a Candlelight Memorial Service will be held at Town Hall at 7:00 p.m.

Village of Spring Valley 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

Town of Orangetown Memorial

At 6 p.m. on Thursday, September 11, the Town of Orangetown will hold the annual memorial ceremony to commemorate the men and women from Rockland County who lost their lives as a result of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Held in front of the 9/11 Memorial on the grounds of Town Hall, this service provides a time and a place for the community to come together and honor the memories of those who lost their lives to this brutal attack.

Lafayette Theater thanks the Military with free admission on September 11

On September 11, 2014, the Historic Lafayette Theater in Suffern will be joining businesses across the country, who are participating in Freedom Day USA. Freedom Day is a national event designed to thank the members of the military, veterans and their immediate families for their service to America. Each business participant is providing a thank you gift in the form of free services, goods and various other offers.

Lafayette Theater, located in downtown Suffern, New York will say thanks to our Military by giving free admission to all members of the Armed Forces, Veterans and their immediate families who attend the Thursday, September 11 featured movie.
