NEW CITY – The Rockland Water Resources Management Task Force, created in 2014 to examine the county’s future water needs and how to safeguard its water resources, is inviting the public to a series of upcoming meetings of the committees set up within the task force.
Rockland County Legislator Harriet Cornell, chairwoman of the task force, said the latest series of sessions starts on Thursday:
– Initial Demand Forecast Committee will meet: Thursday, Jan. 15, 5:30 pm Rockland County Fire Training Center Auditorium, 35 Memorial Drive, Pomona.
– Stormwater/Groundwater Committee will meet: Thursday, Jan. 15, 6:30 p.m., and Thursday, January 29,, 6:30 p.m., both at the Rockland County Fire Training Center Class Room 1, 35 Memorial Drive, Pomona.
– Water Resources Management Task Force will meet: Monday, Jan. 26,, 5:30 pm at Dominican College, Rosary Hall, 500 Western Highway, Blauvelt.
Meetings of the Task Force and its committees are open to the public.
