Sterling National Bank gives Habitat for Humanity $20,000 to help fund progress in Rockland

Sterling National Bank has awarded Habitat for Humanity of Rockland (HFHR) a $20,000 grant to support affordable housing to deserving families in Rockland County. The grant will be used to renovate and build homes as well as provide financial and homeowner literacy education for our partner families and other families in our community. Sterling Bank has been a strong supporter of HFHR and its home ownership program.

“Not only have we had their financial support” said Keith Albert, executive director of HFHR, “we have been able to rely on Sterling for advice and guidance in helping Rockland families achieve home ownership.”

Sterling National Bank offers a complete line of commercial, business, and consumer banking products and services and is a member of the HFHR Board of Directors. Habitat for Humanity of Rockland has built eight homes in Rockland County and is currently working on renovating a house in Haverstraw NY. HFHR does not receive financial support from Habitat International and raises all their own funds which are used to help families in Rockland. For additional information visit HFHR.org.
